Where have all the seasons gone?
That I enjoyed so long ago.
All are distant memories,
But, still
I'd like to know.
Spring heralding the end of winter.
Bringing with it life anew.
Flowers aspiring poets,
And April
showers too.
The long, hot days of summer.
Holidays spent by the sea.
Dusty lanes and melted tar,
That meant
a lot to me.
The autumn mists and cold damp days.
Birds to warmer climes would fly.
Creatures prepare for winter
sleep,
And leaves say their long goodbye.
Winter blasts in with a vengeance.
Blizzards, beating on the door.
Hot drinks, warm clothes, colds
and chilblains.
How sad its not here once more!
